SLUCare offers comprehensive, state-of-the-art care for infants, children and adolescents with growth disorders, complex endocrine system disorders, diabetes and metabolic bone disease. We are an official referral center for the newborn screening programs for the states of Missouri and Illinois.

Our pediatric endocrinologists perform specialized endocrine function testing, educate others about endocrine disease and coordinate growth hormone treatment.

Our staff provides inpatient and outpatient diabetes education, instruction for patients on intensive insulin regimens, and a high level of inpatient diabetic care through the education of hospital nursing staff. Our dietitians, social workers and child psychologists are also available to offer nutritional guidance and psychosocial evaluation, as well as advice to patients and their families.
